The Best Question to Ask at Networking Events

So you’re in a room full of new faces and you don’t know what to say. If you’re especially shy, perhaps you clutch your drink and plaster on a smile, half-hoping you won’t really have to talk to anyone. It can be a little overwhelming – I get it.

But it is easier than you think to do well at these events! Rather than starting with “what they can do for me?” or worrying about how to give a proper handshake, in this video, I’ve got the question you need to ask to be more at ease and effective.

Imagine being prepared with an effortless way to handle networking events with ease.

If you can empower others to see opportunities for themselves, you’ll be a “messenger of goodness.” If you get out of your world and into theirs, everything will be easier.

Being interested, rather than simply interesting, is a skill. So if networking makes you nervous – take on this question and these tips. I promise this will make it sooooo much easier, and you’ll see how magical, new opportunities just start to flow out of your conversations.

P.S. If you really want my best networking tips, don’t miss my online course on Pitch Yourself: Learn How to Ignite Curiosity + Inspire Action. You’ll get everything you need to speak about yourself and your work in a way that draws people in and leaves them wanting more.  Try it today!
