About Alexa Fischer

Founder of Wishbeads. Author of Wishwork. Creator of The Wishing Way.

I help people discover what they truly want.

I am Alexa Fischer, the founder of Wishbeads, the author of Wishwork, and the creator of The Wishing Way, a heart-centered method that helps people discover what they truly want and begin bringing it to life.

For years I worked with CEOs, nonprofits, executives, and everyday dreamers, helping them build confidence, move through fear, and take meaningful action toward the life they were ready to create.

And again and again, I noticed the same thing:

The greatest untapped resource in every person I worked with was not a strategy or a plan. It was their own inner knowing. Their wish. The quiet thing their heart had been trying to tell them all along.

That discovery changed everything about how I teach.

Today my work centers on one simple but powerful idea: your wish is already inside you. You just need a practice to help you hear it, write it, wear it, and act on it.

That practice is The Wishing Way. And it starts here.

Curious how I made my dreams come true? It’s been a wild ride.

Plot twists. Fake blood. Calls out of the blue. And an epic epiphany in the shower.

I dreamed I could be an actress on the big stages and screens…

I’ve always been a people person. From the time I was a little girl, I loved chatting with strangers, asking endless questions about life, and amusing my family lip synching Oldies. I took that passion for people and studied Theater at Northwestern University and later at The Yale School of Drama where I received my MFA in Acting. As an actress, it’s all about digging deep into a character’s wants and needs. The more specific you get, the richer the story becomes. It’s like peeling back layers and discovering what makes someone light up, dig deep, and take action, and the drama that unfolds when they face their obstacles. After graduation, I headed to New York, then Los Angeles to give the entertainment business a go. I’ve had my fair share of moments in the limelight—appearing on hit TV shows like NCIS, Lie To Me, Jag, Numb3rs, CSI and countless commercials—after a time there was always this little voice inside me wondering, “What’s next?“

I have always believed that the most powerful thing a person can do is learn to trust their own voice.

Before Wishbeads, I spent years as a public speaking teacher and confidence coach, working with executives, nonprofits, and teams of all sizes to help them communicate with clarity, authenticity, and what I used to call their “1000 Watt Presence.”

From Trader Joe’s and SONY to Dress for Success and the National Charity League, I worked with hundreds of thousands of people to help them focus their vision, articulate their goals, and show up more fully on stage, on camera, and in everyday life. I even made it to The Today Show along the way.

But the deeper I went into that work, the more I kept coming back to the same question.

What do you actually want?

Not what looks good on a resume. Not what your family expects. Not what makes sense to everyone else.

What does your heart truly want?

That question became the foundation of everything I do now. It led me to create Wishbeads, to write Wishwork, and to build The Wishing Way, a heart-centered method that helps people discover what they truly want and begin bringing it to life, one intentional step at a time.

I have always believed that the most powerful thing a person can do is learn to trust their own voice.

It happened one ordinary morning while I was in the shower: Wishbeads.

I heard the name and I envisioned the product. Turning written wishes into little paper beads that you string together—like a vision board you wear on your wrist–to help you remember and take action toward what you desire.

It took heart and hustle to take that idea and make it a reality.

Seeing Wishbeads featured on major shows like The View, Good Morning America, and on OWN, was truly a wish come true.

What started as a simple idea grew into the original intention-setting jewelry line, featuring gemstone bracelets and necklaces each with a hidden capsule that holds your written wish. And the teaching of wishing grew alongside it, eventually becoming a book called Wishwork, a 21-day practice for turning a wish into meaningful, intentional action one day at a time.

Write your wish. Tuck it inside. Wear it daily. Do the Wishwork.

That is how a wish becomes real.

I dreamed of millions of people believing in their wishes and changing their lives at last.

My company Wishbeads isn’t just about jewelry. It’s about sparking a movement: a whole new way of thinking about wishes and intentions.

My mission? To help people everywhere to wake up and wish. Wake up and realize that their old habits, beliefs, and behaviors are keeping them from accessing their greatest power–the power they have to connect with their heart, imagine their best life, and bring that vision (wish!) to reality.

I have brought The Wishing Way to kids in schools and after-school programs, to corporate executives and their teams, to individuals and families navigating transitions, and to communities of wishers gathering online and in person around the world.

Through Wishbeads, Wish Circles, Wish Class, Wish Club, Wish Camp, and the book Wishwork, the mission is simple: to help people everywhere wake up, connect with their hearts, and wish boldly for the life they are ready to create.

We are just getting started.

I believe in you. It’s time for you to believe in yourself.
