When Was the Last Time You Really Made a Wish?

What do you wish for?

It sounds like such a simple question. But I can’t tell you how many people have confessed to me that they honestly don’t know how to answer it.

And I get it. We live in a world where something is constantly competing for our attention. Our phones. Our schedules. The news. Other people’s opinions. With all that noise, it can be hard to hear the quieter voice inside asking, What do I actually want?

That’s why I believe wishing is a practice.

In this Wish Walk, I share a really simple way to start. Begin with the little things.

What do I wish to wear today? What do I wish to eat? Where do I wish to go? How do I wish to feel?

These tiny pauses are a way of checking in with yourself. They help you become more conscious of your desires and, little by little, strengthen your wish muscles.

Because wishing isn’t something reserved for birthday candles.

It’s a way of listening to your heart.

And you can begin today.

P.S. If you’d like a little more guidance from me, come explore Wish Class. It’s where we practice all of this together, with live Wish Circles, guided experiences, Wish Work, and plenty of inspiration to help you keep those wish muscles strong. I’d love to have you there.

Why Play Matters (And Why I’m Obsessed with Mahjong)

There is something deeply healing about play, and I don’t think we talk about that enough as adults. We speak often about productivity, optimization, healing work, and growth — all worthy pursuits — but rarely do we honor the simple medicine of gathering around a...

How to Release What Was Never Said

Sometimes healing begins the moment we stop pretending we’re “over it.” The other day, I found myself doing something both simple and surprisingly emotional. I sat down with small sheets of dissolving paper and began writing messages to people who had hurt me — words...
