It’s the middle of January, and something feels different.
Yes, the calendar has turned. But energetically? We’re still in a powerful in-between. A quiet threshold. A moment where the old year is gently loosening its grip and the new one hasn’t quite stepped fully into the room yet.
In Chinese astrology, the new year doesn’t officially begin until February 17, when we enter the Year of the Fire Horse — a year traditionally associated with boldness, momentum, and big forward movement. It’s the kind of energy that sounds like, “Ready, set, go!”
And yet… that’s not what I’ve been feeling in my body or in the collective.
What I’ve been sensing is something softer, more intuitive, more alive in a different way. A kind of inner listening. A gentle stretching before the real dance begins. A permission to arrive instead of rush.
This moment we’re in — this mid-January pause — is an invitation.
Not just to ask what you want this year…
but to ask how you want to feel while you create it
In the video above, I share a playful, surprising way of looking at this Fire Horse year — and how tuning into the energy you want to live inside might be just as important as any goal, resolution, or vision board.
It’s about finding your rhythm. Your pace. Your own version of momentum that doesn’t require burnout to exist.
Whether you’re dreaming up something new, re-imagining an old wish, or simply trying to remember what brings you alive, this year doesn’t have to be forced to be powerful. Sometimes the most magical shifts happen when we allow ourselves to move with what feels right.
Watch the video, take a breath, and see what stirs for you.
PS: In true “flow instead of force” fashion, we’ve moved our upcoming Women’s Wish Weekend to April after a few participants had some unexpected changes in their plans. It felt like a perfect reflection of this moment — a reminder that we’re all allowed to pivot, adjust, and listen to what life is asking for now. Sometimes the most aligned thing we can do is simply move with grace instead of pushing ahead. Come and join us.
