Behind the Scenes: How I Film My Videos

During the month of September, I took it upon myself to dive in and create three new courses. They’re not quite ready to post just yet, but while I was in the throes of filming, I decided to give you a sneak peek into the studio you’ve been seeing on your computer all these years.

Many of my students are producing videos and have often asked me about the equipment I use for my video set up and how they can get started creating a studio of their own.

If you are a beginner, I am a big believer that you should use the equipment you likely already own instead of investing heavily in professional cameras, lighting and microphones. That being said, I am fortunate enough to have a husband in video production, so the equipment I use is, in fact, fancier than most.

In today’s video, I’ll show you our exact setup and as a bonus, I’ve made a list of all of my equipment recommendations I give my students when they’re building their own filming studio. Believe it or not, you can create amazing videos using your iPhone, some clip lights and a handful of cool LED light bulbs!

You can get my full list of recommended equipment right here.

Putting yourself on camera is easier and easier these days. Between Facebook Live, Instagram stories and YouTube channels launching daily, there are very few barriers to sharing your insights in front of the lens. If you’ve been thinking about doing it for a while now, why not dive in and get started?

The Benefits of Healthy Boundaries
