The MUST-HAVE Piece of Equipment to Create Videos Easily

Quick story. Last summer I went to a pool party where I had the delightful opportunity to enjoy a slice of a delicious chocolate cake. A friend of the hostess had brought it and when I inquired about how to make it, this lovely baker kindly explained that it was a “secret” family recipe and that she was forbidden to share it.

Ummmmm, really?

Naturally I protested. After all, we need more fabulous chocolate cake in the world! I will likely never meet her family! And wouldn’t they WANT to make other people happy with this scrumptiousness?!

Nope. No recipe for me. Grrrrrrrr.

That’s not how I roll. Whether it’s a recipe, secret shortcuts through LA traffic or my favorite store to buy gifts, I love hooking someone up with insights that inspire smiles.

As a trusted member of my community, I make it a point to share my BEST tips and advice for you EVERY WEEK. Even better, with my new found love of Periscope, I’ll be popping up live more often to chat about all kinds of ways to connect with people effortlessly, so you can unleash all 1000 Watts of your brilliance.

Today’s video features my favorite piece of video equipment that I personally use to shoot videos with my phone. It’s relatively inexpensive and way cooler than a “selfie stick”. (I just can’t picture myself using one in public!)

Go ahead and carve some time out for yourself to see how you can grow your tribe of fans on YouTube, Periscope, with video blogs or even online courses.

Well, 2020 was quite a year, but it wasn't all bad! One of the profound gifts I received was the invitation to join a small group of friends who began swimming in the ocean at dawn. Now, despite the fact that I've lived less than a mile from the beach for two decades,...

Awkward on Camera? How to Overcome Your Habits

Awkward on Camera? How to Overcome Your Habits

Years ago as an actress filming a shampoo commercial, the director yelled, “Cut!” and then he said to me: “Alexa, can you please stop licking your lips?” Embarrassed, I became suddenly super self-conscious of how I hold my mouth on camera. (And all I could think about...

The Benefits of Healthy Boundaries

Years ago, I worked with a freelancer who set the most perfect ground rules at the beginning of our relationship: Don’t call - instead, email me, I prefer email. If you email after this time, I won’t respond until that time. And we won’t discuss work on the weekends -...
